Submit your work to publish with us! This page is for the submission of full, book-length works. This refers to novels or non-fiction works of at least 40,000 words, or a chapbook of 20-30 poems. If you would like to see your stand-alone pieces such as individual poems and short prose published, consider submitting to our Sekudu Quarterly magazine.

Submission

Send us an email at floatingsekudu@gmail.com with your work in .pdf or .docx format. State your name or pen name, and include a cover letter of at most 100 words. "[Genre] Submission: [Title of Work]" in the subject of the email. (Eg. Novel Submission: Pride and Prejudice). Please indicate whether your work is fiction or non-fiction.

There is no cost for submission. Submitted work must not have been previously published. All accepted submissions will be published by Sekudu. You will be notified via email within three months if your submission has been successful. If you do not hear back from us within three months, it is likely that we have not found a suitable place for your work in our collection.

Publication

Accepted works will be published by Sekudu in Singapore at no cost to the creator (we are not a vanity press). If you are based in Singapore, these works will also be given an ISBN for free, which is valid internationally. Several copies will be deposited with the National Library Board and PublicationSG’s collection; the printing of these physical copies will cost the creator a small fee.

Distribution

Accepted works will be made available for sale on our website and promoted on our social media accounts. Sekudu will list their work on Amazon in print and eBook formats, and handle logistics and management. For all sales, royalties will be paid to the author, with high rates of 35% for print books and 50% for eBooks.
